Joseph Bohler
Joseph Bohler was born near Augusta, Montana in 1940. He was brought up on a remote cattle ranch and his only formal art training was a two year correspondence course. After serving in the Army for two years, he worked for a commercial art studio in Great Falls, Montana for a year and for Hallmark in Kansas City, Missouri for eight years. He painted for gallery exhibitions in his spare time and in 1972 he went full time with his painting. He became a member of the American Watercolor Society, and a founding member of the Northwest Rendezvous Group. Bohler has won several Best of Show awards at the C. M. Russell Art Auction in Great Falls, Montana.
