Meadowlark Gallery: The Artist Biographies

Neil Boyle
Neil Boyle is a representational oil painter of the Old West who was born in Fort MacLeod, Alberta, Canada about 1931. He was raised near the Blood and Piegan tribes of the Blackfoot Confederacy where his father was an honorary chief. After not completing high school, he was fortunate to have his father afford to send him to the Art Center. Even after a couple of years, he was not sure what he was doing or where he was heading with his career. Free lancing was done at the Walt Disney Studios and after a while the side work that he did started paying more than the job so he decided to quit and devote his life to his artwork.
