When I was the President of the Montana Professional Picture Framers Association in 1992, I received a telephone call from a lady in Cody, Wyoming. She was interested in receiving more education and we were in the process of conducting a seminar. The telephone call was the beginning of a great friendship for both Marylee and I with Linda Burwick. We not only have watched her framing over the years but as well her artwork.

Linda Burwick was born on October 7, 1945 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. As a young infant, her parents brought her to Laramie, Wyoming. It was in Laramie where she was raised and educated. She attended the University of Wyoming and after making good friends with several folks from Cody, Wyoming she decided to move there in 1977. Linda Burwick owned and operated Sylvan Frame Shop from 1985 to 2006. At the closing of her business she was one of the second oldest business owners in Cody. Her painting began as a very young girl. Her primary medium is acrylic. Linda also has worked in retail for many years in the Cody area.
