| Oleg Stavrowsky was born in Harlem, New York in 1927. After two years of high school, he was drafted into the Armed Forces in 1945, and was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant in 1949. He became a technical illustrator and then went into fashion drawing and free lance art. Western art became the center of his painting. | ||
