Bryan Tarter was born on September 9, 1956 in Sheridan, Wyoming. He sketched and painted since his early childhood years. Raised and still working on his folk's ranch near Ashland, Montana. During the winter months, Brian is able to spend most of his time recalling his memories of the working times on the ranch. He works in gouache and would eventually like to evolve into oil painting. After graduating from high school in Broadus, Montana, he also had six months of training in art at Sacremento City College in Sacremento, California.
