Hugo Olof Von Hofsten (1865-1947)
Born in Sweden on June 20, 1865. Von Hofsten studied at the Royal Academy in Stockholm. He lived and worked in Winnetka, Illinois before moving to southern California about 1927. He died in Pasadena on Oct. 19, 1947. Source: Edan Hughes, "Artists in California, 1786-1940"
