Meadowlark Gallery: The Artist Biographies

Truman Bolinger
Truman Bolinger was born in Sheridan, Wyoming in 1944. He grew up on his father's ranch near Ucross, Wyoming, and "never really thought about being an artist. I always thought I'd be a rancher." After a year at Sheridan College, he transferred to the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver as a painter. He also studied at the Art Students League in New York City and began as a full time sculptor in 1968.
