Terry Mimnaugh (1954- )
Terry Mimnaugh was born in Renton, Washington in 1954. After graduating from college in 1976, she apprenticed with a cowboy artist and foundryman. While working at the foundry, she applied for the commission to model Jeannette Rankin. She won the commission over thirty seven other artists from five states and Canada. The bronze was dedicated in 1980. Terry Mimnaugh is known for her oils, watercolors, pastels and heroic bronzes. She is also known for her work in commissioned children's portraits and religious idcons. She has won numerous awards including the Richard Schmid merit award, the NWR Award, and a Montana Institute of the Arts Award.
